Coworking on 15th Ave has extended the deadline for potential names for the new coworking center in central Phoenix until the 30th of September. As part of the contest, the new office space is offering a rent-free business space for 1 year to the creative professional who wins the ‘Name Our Coworking Space’ contest for the new building.
The decision to extend the deadline until September 30 was made primarily to provide interested entrepreneurs with enough time to brainstorm their own potential names and submit them. Those interested in submitting names to potentially win one year of free office space can do so via the special Facebook tab.
All other rules for the naming competition stay the same and are listed below:
Contest entrants should submit a name that will brand what the coworking space, temporarily named Coworking on 15th Ave, is all about. All submissions must be received by Sept. 30, via the Facebook page. Information about Coworking on 15th Ave, all contest terms and to submit a name can be found at www.facebook.com/coworkingon15th. A committee will select the name that best fits the entrepreneurial and collaborative dynamics of the building. The winning business owner and the winning name will be announced at the grand opening of Coworking on 15th Ave on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m.
Our founder, Eric Diaz says he decided to create a coworking space to enhance the business vibrancy of Phoenix because of the success of other coworking centers he has visited across the country. For example, he spent time visiting with owners of Creative Density in Denver, Quirk in Columbus, OH and CO+HOOTS in Phoenix.
Aside from the contest, he is currently leasing out affordable workspaces to creative start-up companies and “solopreneur” businesspeople who want a professional workspace, without a high price tag.
“Coworking on 15th Ave was created for hard-working people to get the job done without having to miss out on social interaction,” Diaz says. “Our mission is to provide workspace for entrepreneurs from all fields, who enjoy working in a collaborative environment conducive to a healthy lifestyle.”
“From private spaces for teams to shared open spaces for individuals, we have what you are looking for, including an outdoor patio complete with a barbecue grill and fountain. We are located near downtown Phoenix and are on the 15th Avenue bike path. Being five minutes from downtown gives this coworking space the advantages of being close to the thriving business and cultural heart of Phoenix.”
This center for entrepreneurs also is close to Phoenix College, the Melrose Arts District, Encanto Park and two freeways.
Diaz’s office building also will encourage a work/life balance for its tenants.
“At Coworking on 15th Ave, we promote healthy lifestyles. Too often entrepreneurs are overworked and sacrifice exercise to meet their deadlines,” he says. “We encourage coworkers to engage in physical activities such as bike riding, hiking and dodgeball and have set up events and community partnerships with sports leagues to motivate our coworkers.”
Diaz says his research into other coworking spaces reveals the following benefits for small business owners:
· Low overhead. $250 all-inclusive monthly rate, with no extra costs.
· Networking. Coworking brings smart, creative people together to share ideas.
· Shared expertise. Coworking presents opportunities to learn through workshops on digital media trends, Hispanic marketing, maker activities and other topics.
· Shared goals of success. Working from home or coffee shops presents many distractions that can inhibit productivity. A dedicated workspace with fellow entrepreneurs encourages a focus on business projects and deadlines.
Diaz invites those interested to come by and see the space to experience how unique this coworking location is. A free week’s pass can be obtained by sending an email to: eric (at) coworkingon15th.com
